The high-fidelity TELEWATT SL 800 loudspeaker can be used where high-fidelity loudspeakers of the lower and middle price range can not deliver high sound pressure with high reproduction quality due to distortions and are destroyed by overloading. Since the high-quality reproduction of the SL 800 is achieved less by the application of the damping technology, than by high-quality, electro-acoustic transducers, results in a good overall efficiency. The electro-acoustic transducers are tried-and-tested, in part professional versions of the K + H direct-line loudspeaker series. So z. The 3-way principle is the optimum solution for a loudspeaker of this power class. In the low-frequency range, two parallel bass loudspeakers work in the 114-liter case. The arrangement of the speakers on the baffle and the dimensioning of the crossover not only takes into account the amplitude response but also the phase position in the transfer area. Due to its high efficiency, the pressure chamber loudspeaker working in the high-frequency range from 4 kHz to 20 kHz has a large power reserve, which benefits operational safety. A thermal overload of the pressure chamber speaker is not possible through the automatic protection circuit.
The applied principle allows operation with amplifiers of the 100 watt class. The achievable sound pressure is 110 dB (A) and corresponds to an operating power of 4.4 watts according to DIN 45 500 .
